Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Director of Segment Finance to support a large portfolio of life science client sites based in Rahway, New Jersey. This role will oversee financial operations across 10 client locations, managing all accounting functions, leading the annual budgeting process, and directing period-end close activities. The Director will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing and presenting client-specific financial reports, and performing trend analysis to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, the role will play a key part in driving continuous process improvements to enhance revenue and reduce costs. A strong background in facilities management finance and capital project financial oversight is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and reconciliation activities across 10 client locations, ensuring compliance with contract terms and company standards.
  • Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting and period close, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and strategic alignment.

  • Analyze financial performance trends for assigned contracts, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.

  • Prepare, deliver, and present detailed financial reports to both internal stakeholders—including Sodexo leadership and regional account teams—and external clients.

  • Serve as the primary financial liaison, collaborating with corporate finance, the Financial Service Center, and client representatives to support contract performance and financial transparency.

  • Conduct contract-specific and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support operational decisions, capital project planning, and continuous process improvements.
